Have you ever wondered why some real estate investors seem to make it all look so easy? We have all heard the stories about how one investor made over $100,000 in a week by flipping a house. Or maybe about how another one bought a multimillion dollar apartment complex and walked away with cash at closing.
So how do these people do it? And is it something the average person off the street can learn to do? Well, those are some of the same questions I had when I first started in the business. So ...

You are probably already saying "Is this guy crazy? How can paying a trainer to tell me how to work out be better than buying equipment?" By all means fitness equipment is a good investment but investing in personal trainer is a better one.
Fitness equipment in your exercise room at home will not produce the same fitness results that a qualified personal trainer can offer for about the same price as fitness equipment, if not less expensive. Since a piece ...

It has been very interesting to see the different reactions from investors to the credit crunch and subsequent reduction in available finance available to property buyers ' which has had a knock on effect on house prices. We are seeing investors generally falling into two camps ' those that see this very positively ' the Can do-ers, and those that have decided it is a good time to sit back and do very little ' the Can't do-ers.The investors with clear goals and 'Can Do' attitudes are getting on ...

Before investing in real estate, one thing that is very crucial for consideration is the value of the property you are investing in. After all, the main purpose of every investment is to make profits. It is the value of the property that determines the price and not vice versa. That is to say that a lot of things determine the value of a property, hence, the price that it is worth. Some of the things that determine the value of a property include the following: the location of the property, ...

The government adapted strict monetary and fiscal policies to control the rate of inflation during this period. Rigid monetary policies were used to limit credit expansion in the private sector. For any stock market player to have good success in his or her stock trading efforts, such one must as a necessity have a clearly defined objective. Just like every traveler. All traveler must have a destination, and when he arrives at the predetermined destination(goal), he disembarks. Formulate Specific Goals
You must have heard this many times before but have you done it yourself? In many cases I find most beginners unable to design specific investment goals. "Want to be Rich in 3 Years" is not good enough. You must specify how much money you need, what kind of return you expect and how long you can wait.
Bottom-line, you must have goals that are specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and timely. Otherwise, you'll easily lose sight along the way.
Analyze Your Risk ...

I've run across a lot of folks who tell me they'd love to do
what I do, but their wife is just not comfortable with it.
That's a powerful objection, and sometimes it's one that cannot
be overcome. Most times, I think it can be, if you really want
to. All too often, I get the impression the potential investor
doesn't want to jump into rehab real estate bad enough to work
through the spouses objections. It's the old "it's easier NOT
to" mentality!
The issue is usually not that your spouse doesn't ...

If you were given £100,000, how would you feel?
If that £100,000 was then withdrawn and you were asked for
another £150,000 how would you feel?
You might question whether you had made the right decision to
take the £100,000 in the first place. You might also feel
annoyed, frustrated and bewildered to have to pay 2 ½ times that
amount for the privilege.
Well believe it or not, every time a newly appointed senior
executive with a £100,000 salary doesn't succeed, your overall
cost is ...

Performance Chaser or Business Builder?
Patty Gale © 2005 - all rights reserved
Having worked in investments for many years, "performance
chasers" are those people or investment managers who are always
looking for the "hottest stock" that will get them the most bang
for the buck now. There's nothing wrong with optimizing
performance, but they lose site of long-term investment goals.
You know.. the tortoise and the hare sydrome.
The same applies to business. Are you looking only to make ...

Bryn Mawr, PA, December 5, 2005 - American consumers are
expected to more than double the sales of existing tax-deferred
annuities they hold in 2006, as the economy moves into what
appears to be a transition phase in which liquidity will be
valued over illiquid holdings, according to J.G. Wentworth. As a
result, the company said, sales by consumers of existing
annuities are likely to hit a three-year high next year even as
the annuities market itself continues to grow. "Based on the
public data ...

The definition of an investment club is simple: a group of
people who share an interest in the stock market pooling their
resources into one large investment. Defining how an investment
club works is more complicated.
In most cases the investment club will be registered as a
partnership and the members of the club will make decisions
together on what stocks they consider to be a good investment
risk. The majority of the time the investment decisions will be
made after some research has been ...

Most of the buying and selling on the stock market is handled by
stock brokers on behalf of their clients, who are the investors.
Many different types of brokerage services are available.
Full-Service Brokers
"Full-service brokers" offer a variety of ways to help clients
meet their investment goals. These brokers can give advice about
which stocks to buy and sell, and often have large research
departments that analyze market trends and predict stock
movements, for their clients.

Which type of policy is best for you, term or whole life? The
answer depends on several factors, including:
Your Needs. If you need coverage only until your children
graduate from college, for example, you might be better off with
a term life policy.
Cash-value insurance is better suited for long term needs, such
as planning estate taxes and providing lifetime security for
your spouse. Some term policies cannot be renewed past age 70 or
80 and can become costly to renew as you approach that ...

In my earlier article 'Setting Financial Goals ' Part 1' I
identified the 4 simple steps to setting up achievable financial
goals. I mentioned that your financial goals should be broken
down into smaller more manageable goals and then written down to
help you visualize them. This article expands upon that
information. Writing your goals down has an additional effect
besides allowing you to properly focus in on their success. In
some cases you will discover that some of your goals ...

I decided to resurrect this article (with some changes due to
events that have happened this year) from my website because of
the time of year it is. With New Year's Day being less than a
week away, this is the time of year where many of us reflect on
the past year, re-examine our dreams, desires and goals and make
resolutions for the upcoming year.
Some of us are more successful at keeping those resolutions than
others. There are those people who say they want to make changes
to improve their ...

Recently, my family and I took a trip to Maine to visit
relatives. During our stay, we toured the rocky shore lines and
took in the beautiful architecture of the old towns. One sunny
morning, three generations of Wardlaws boarded a lobster boat
and set out on a guided lobster trapping excursion. We quickly
learned lobstermen lead a life of hard work and regulations.
Over the course of many years, Maine's lobstermen and state
officials have established certain criteria to protect lobsters
and ...

Index Funds - Are they right for you? by Gabriel Nijmeh
Indexing is an investment approach that seeks to match the
investment returns of a stock or bond index. An investment
manager tries to duplicate the target index by holding all the
securities in the index. This is what is called a passive
management approach which emphasizes broad diversification and
low portfolio turnover.
There are a variety of indexes to suit each investment style.
The largest and well known index is the S&P 500. This ...
